“When my business partner and I first decided to open the Crêperie, we wanted to create an image that was individual but also made us look as though we could be part of a chain or a franchise – even though it was a small, start-up business with a design and marketing budget to match!
Despite our lack of resources we were determined that our café would not assume the look of many new start-up businesses where little or no thought appears to have been given to design, branding or marketing and has been put together on a shoe-string.
We were also conscious that at a later stage we might want to expand the business, possibly even franchising our own operation, and so we wanted to create a strong brand and image that would enable us to do that.
We therefore met with the team at Pixelwork and explained our ambitions and aims. Although we had a few ideas of the ‘look’ we wanted to create we had absolutely no idea how to achieve this!
From this Pixelwork put together an extremely competitive package that enabled us to brand everything from our main shop sign to crockery, menus, café terrace banners, loyalty cards and even our bespoke crêpe cones. The overall result has been spectacular and exceeded all expectations. Many of our customers have asked if we are part of a chain or a franchise, and we have only received positive comments on the look we have created. The head of marketing of the shopping centre where we are based has been so impressed that he is attempting to persuade us to expand at our existing site rather than move away as we look to expand.
Since initially developing the brand identity, Pixelwork has worked on three separate marketing campaigns which have further developed our brand as well as significantly increasing our customer base.”
