PROFILE
Pixelwork (like it seems all great web design agencies) began life in a spare bedroom (but not any more, we’re now based in a very bizarrely located Victorian watertower). Founded in 2002 the company began life primarily designing and developing websites for a variety of public sector organisations. Through our online work we extended into graphic and print design (almost the opposite of most other companies who were mostly print companies trying to move into digital), visual identity design and associated marketing collateral including brochures, exhibition design and corporate stationary .
As time progressed we were called in to not only look at the visual side of an organisations marketing material but also look at the overall brand and marketing strategy of the company.
Our client list grew to not only include local organisations but national private companies and now we work across all spectrums with a client list including not just national companies but organisations, charities and private companies in the US.
Looking forward to the future we’re excited about where this business is taking us with some great new clients, some awesome new digital developments in the field of mobile, iPhone and iPad apps, social media implementation as well as offline brand development.
WHAT WE DO
We’re built around digital. That doesn’t mean we don’t venture offline, in fact some months it seems that’s all we’re doing but our core area of expertise is online. If push came to shove I guess you could say we’re a “digital agency”. We often try and pin down what it is we call ourselves. Sometimes we’re an “interactive digital agency” , sometimes we’re a “web design agency” or “website design agency”. But realistically what we think we do lends us to calling ourselves “digital enablers” – we work with organisations to primarily put them in the digital realm, not just by building or re-designing a website but looking at the entire fit around that. Effectively “enabling” their brand digitally.
This could be an email campaign, a social media campaign, app or anything offline that supports their digital activity.
It’s very rare that we do a job and move on, most of our clients we’ve had for many years and work with them across all areas of their media campaigns and particularly the digital implementation of their brand.
