Digital Account Manager in creative web design agency

Primary Purpose

We are looking for an experienced, commercially aware and inspiring Digital Account Manager at our Essex office to be responsible for the retention and growth success of a number of client relationships within the agency. We are a tight knit team, but you will still need to be self-motivated and have a pride in your work to ensure the projects flow through the agency structure effortlessly regardless of the discipline being managed, the scale of the project, the team structure required and of course deadlines, timelines and dependencies – not too much to ask is it?

Key responsiblities:

  • The retention and growth of client accounts,
  • The management of client projects
  • Traffic management of projects through the agency
  • Management information on project delivery and efficiency
  • Working with existing clients from initial briefing in order to provide a comprehensive project scope, timescales and with budgets, through the development of project plans and client priorities and success performance indicators, you will work with the agency management team to develop long-term account plans, securing Pixelwork’s involvement in these plans.
  • Operating alongside our wider creative and management teams, you will manage work in progress and ensure the agency delivers superior work that surprises and delights.
  • Actively undertakes a role in identifying and developing account sales opportunities alongside the agency management team
  • Supports the sales team to convert sales leads with ideas, support and innovation.

 

Profile of a suitable team member:

  • Genuinely an honest, open and down-to-earth team player – no politics allowed!
  • Someone who understands deadlines are part of the job and are sacrosanct
  • Understanding of commercial priorities and a business savvy approach
  • Happy to own the responsibility for both the project budget and client profitability
  • Able to deliver accurate MI to the management team on all client profiles

Because of both the profile and ambitions of the agency, you must have an established knowledge of the digital industry and products, but ideally you will also have a real interest in social media and emerging technologies. You must be confident to challenge briefs provided and where appropriate, demonstrate innovation and creativity beyond client expectations.

Skills and Experience:

  • At least 3 years digital marketing experience within an agency or client role
  • Strategic, yet pragmatic thinker with thorough knowledge and experience of digital technologies, innovation and marketing
  • Experience of working with agency creative teams
  • Outstanding client-facing skills
  • Understanding of project management skills and processes, workflow and costings

The ability and confidence to present creative and technology ideas to clients, prospective clients and colleagues
