Zombies in Boston

Zombies in Boston

The Boston Police in the US use Twitter to update local citizens of events in the city. They also show a human face in their recent correspondence regarding a “human bite attack victim”. This goes some way to show how the use of Twitter can humanise an otherwise faceless corporation or institution. Showing your humorous side is something that wouldn’t necessarily make it to the organisations website when used on Twitter it’s a nice touch. Makes a change from just feeding RSS feeds through your tweets.

Although I do question whether they really would let the general public know about a Zombie attack - surely the authorities would want to keep this under wraps ? However its worth knowing now then that news of the Zombie uprising may be disseminated via new media rather than TV as you may expect from watching classic zombie movies.

I’m keeping an eye on Zombie Command : http://twitter.com/zombiecommand, this guy seems up to speed on whats happening on the zombie front.
