We took the bull by the horns, re-captured a site sorely in need of bringing into the 21st Century and with a no frills approach of using Wordpress , a free theme and a bit of behind the scenes jiggery pokery in a few hours we had a killer new site.

The guys at Yourthurrock are too busy running around shooting stories about the borough to worry about the technical aspects of their site, the main thing being to get stories online as quickly as possible. We looked at their existing setup and realised it was all developed and updated using old school HTML and FTP !

With Wordpress fitting the bill for exactly what they were after (a powerful publishing platform with great extensibility, plugins and rich media capabilities) we quickly implemented this. Along with Google Analaytics and Open X ad serving this site (which gets great traffic) is set to grow and grow. We’ve also developed a series of ads to test out their page impressions and click through rates for ourselves and so far the figures are very encouraging.
