Game Changing Movie
This will either be the start of a revolution in cinema or it will never happen again ! Personally I think it will be the start of a revolution in cinema .
This movie (I have no idea if it’s good or bad) gets released on the 26th December but the key is is that it gets released everywhere at the same time i.e DVD, SKY Box Office, VOD, cinema and download.
I’ve been arguing for this for years, if I go to see a film at the cinema (and lets face it some films are much better on the big screen) then if it’s a great film I’d love to be able to buy the DVD on my way out – there are so many films I would have done this with recently – No Country For Old Men, There Will be Blood, In Bruges. But more often than not by the time it comes out on DVD (several months later) I’ve forgotten all about it and never do !
I think this will be the future of movie distribution as I hate the concept of pirate DVD’s (when you’re in the visual arts world quality is everything) but I also don’t like having to wait for something, especially in this on-demand instant gratification world we live in now so lets hope this experiment does work and gives the execs an incentive to roll this out across the board, not just on low-budget British horror flicks.
