Barclaycard Rebrand

It seems Creative Review isn’t too fond of it (and have actually grown a sense of humour for a change by producing this very funny take on the rebranding process.
I must admit this whole “global marble” thing seems to have been done to death - think BT, Sony-Ericsson and whats with the typeface ? I think the CR post sums the typographical approach up :
“In a bold break with tradition our new wordmark features simplified and solid lowercase letterforms that are friendly and approachable. It has been crafted in bespoke font CRArial®ounded. Our branding agency conducted extensive research necessitating many days of highly specialised tyPoMetric© analysis before unearthing this rarely-seen vintage typeface that creates a unique visual tone of voice for the brand.”
so what does everyone else think ? And here are some more from under consideration.com :

Yeah - rubbish. I think they should consolidate their branding and just use the normal Barclays logo, which is much nicer. This said, the old barclaycard logo was pretty bad too.
