The Jesus Phone

So a week after launch and we now have four 3G iPhones (and only Kamesh experienced an easy process in doing so) – Kev, Kamesh , Matt and Lucy.

And WOW what a phone…The free apps available are great, we particularly like AIRME , a photo app that if you have a Flickr account you set it up to access the account and literally at the press of a button it uploads your photo straight to your account and what’s more it GEO TAGS it at the same time…Also if you delete it from the phone it also deletes it from Flickr, how cool is that ! 

MIXMEISTER is an app for scratching Hip Hop Beats very Nathan Barley.

Phone Sabre is what it says on the tin,  a virtual  light sabre that uses the iPhone accelerometer and produces the various swishes etc. that a light sabre makes when you move the phone accordingly. We might need to do a battle video for the site of this !

Obviously nothing is perfect and a couple of shortcomings include the lack of video, the weak 2megapixel camera, the keyboard (which is very clever although has a certain knack to using it) but for us the most annoying one is the fact that our Kerio Mailserver doesn’t support HTML emails or attachments when using PUSH !! So its back to iMap until they upgrade this at their end..hopefully sooner rather than later…

Overall this is one major step forward for mobile phones and we haven’t even started to play with the GPS yet !
