Ziv is right, this is an amazing way to get into the mind of a photographer, imagine seeing when James Nachtwey chooses his moment. I love the way this really wraps a story around the image, not just the still picture but sound and motion at the same time, as a language for storytelling it is fantastic and something that could only have evolved with the emergence of the internet as a mechanism for consuming our media.

It works especially well for war photography and I like the way that they developed the system out of a need (to keep out of danger) rather than as a gimmick. I see a lot of potential in this, as a training tool for photographers its incredible (imagine wildlife photography using this approach).

A simple idea but brilliantly executed…The only downside I see is that it takes away some of the power of the final image as when the image is really strong it can quite easily stand alone and doesn’t need to be surrounded with the circumstances of the shot, it should be free to exist in it’s own right and leave the viewers imagination to wander and wonder about the moment in time it was taken.

I see this approach as the future of photography.
