Firefox Vs Safari

Firefox Vs Safari

I hate to say this but i’m leaning towards Safari more and more for my general web browsing. Firefox 2 has been crashing A LOT on me lately even with most of my plugins turned off and Safari is such a damn fast browser now.

I’ve been going years on Firefox now without even dreaming of opening up Safari but with our re-designed website it does seem to render HTML and Javascript really quickly. The beta of Firefox 3 almost looks like a copy of Safari anyway.

It would be nice if Safari could handle the same sort of plugins as Firefox (like Deepest Sender. Firebug and Delicious Tagger) , if it could then I may make the switch permanently (Safari on the iPhone is fantastic) but until then i’m in a permanent juggling act between FF and Safari which is a real pain when you have a number of logins for various sites and reminds me of the old Netscape Navigator vs Internet Explorer days of the 90’s; and I never want to go back there again !
