So the BBC have rebranded News24 to BBC News for a cool £550,000…Where did this spend go though?

So they have a nice new spinning After Effects & 3D globe from Lambie Nairn (with some infuriating (even louder) radar pip noises than the BBC london news ident), but as they are primarily a media brand with their logo only being seen on screen (TV or web) then they shouldn’t have the expense of creating as much collateral as for example the 2012 Olympics brand does ?

Unless of course we’ll start seeing billboards for BBC News competing against Natascha Kaplinkys “cool in her jeans” approach that Channel 5 took…

But still £550,000 ??
